• Live And Breathing!


    Check us out on Live and Breathing. This was filmed in Bristol at the Train Station, and we’re excited to be playing a FREE show at 620 State on March 1st. To keep up to date with the band’s adventures on the road, like us on Facebook.

  • WDVX Meadow Lark Festival.


    We’re honored to have been asked to play the Meadow Lark Festival for our friends at WDVX in Knoxville, TN. This fundraiser for the Ijams Nature Center will feature Acoustic Syndicate, Mary Gauthier, Ganasita and Sam Quinn and Japan 10 and promises to be a fun day for a good cause. We always love playing in Knoxville and are grateful to be playing an event raising money for one of the towns most beautiful spaces.

  • New Familiars on Live and Breathing.


    Last time we were at Bristol, TN’s Rhythm and Roots festival we were taped in the basement of the Railway station for Live and Breathing, check out our performances of Smile and I’m In Love With The World. It’s a great honor to be included with so many other great bands, and really cool to see so many of our friends on here too.

  • Off The Record at The Evening Muse, Charlotte, NC March 21st.

    We are delighted to be involved in Jeff Hahne’s ongoing Off the Record series at the Evening Muse. Jeff has been a great supporter of local music in his role as Music Editor of Charlotte’s Creative Loafing.  We’ll be playing an all acoustic version of “Between the Moon and Morning Light” and answering questions about anything that tickles your fancy. Our friend   Megan McCormick (former member of the everybodyfields) will be opening for us. This will be a unique opportunity to see us in an intimate venue, but tickets will sell out fast, so get them here.

  • Return to Charlotte with Honey Island Swamp Band.


    We’ve been away for a while, but we’re starting off 2012 in our hometown, with New Orleans’ Honey Island Swamp Band, on February 25th at the Visulite Theater. We’re really excited to be playing with this eclectic funky band from the bayou, and we think you’ll love to hear them too. Until the show we’re going to be giving a pair of tickets away every week to a Facebook fan who shares our status about the event, so if you don’t ‘like’ us already there’s yet another reason to.

  • Return to Charlotte, NC


    We’re really excited to be involved in Charlotte Rock for Peace at Home at the Neighborhood Theatre on November 19th. We’ll be playing with Actual Proof and Lamb Handler and it promises to be a great show. It’s also our last show in our hometown for 2011 and, as usual, we have a lot of stuff planned. So join us on the 19th to help combat Domestic Violence and rock out.

  • New Booking Agency


    We are pleased to announce that we have signed with Mongrel Music who will be representing us for Booking. We are excited to join with their great roster of artists, including Tyler Ramsey, Chuck Prophet and Chatham County Line. We’re sure that this will bring great things to us for 2012.

    We are declaring Saturday Mongrel Music day in Charlotte, NC so join us to celebrate at the Charlotte Oktoberfest join us afterwards at the Evening Muse to see  Tyler Ramsey perform songs from his new album, The Valley Wind.

  • Jamming with the Infamous Stringdusters.


    The New Familiars and The Infamous Stringdusters, Boone, NC 9/17/2010

    Next weekend we’ll be playing at the Infamous Stringdusters Festy in Nelson County, VA. We’ll be closing out Friday night at the Devil’s Backbone Brewery and are super excited to see our friends again. The Stringdusters simply rip it up on stage and we were lucky enough to play with them in Boone, NC last year, check out the video above to see what happened and head to the Festy to see a whole lot more.

  • Live Stream from WDVX, Knoxville, TN


    We’re pumped to be the Feature at 5 on Knoxville’s legendary WDVX this Friday, September 23rd. Available at 102.9 FM in Knoxville and 89.9 FM in Clinton, we’ll be the perfect way to start your weekend and cast off those work worries on your drive home. Don’t live in Tennessee? well, don’t worry, the show will be available on a live stream from wdvx.com, so, wherever you are you can tune in. After that we’re off to Crawford, TN for Jammin’ at Hippie Jacks and then rocking downtown Abingdon, VA on Saturday, with our friends Holy Ghost Tent Revival.
